Fun App: Fitsnap

This isn’t a review, really.  More like a, hey, look what I found, this is fun!

Photo Apr 05, 9 37 08 AMFitsnap allows you to transform a picture into an infographic about your workout, so you can easily share it on Instagram, Facebook, or other social media outlets (I’m looking at you, fellow bloggers!).

I’m sure you’ve seen my last few posts have included these “fitsnaps.”  I love them, because I realized recently that sharing my Strava data with a route map on FB or here probably isn’t smart, because people can then see exactly where I live.  If I wrap up all the info into a nice, pretty little picture, it’s easier and safer to share.

If you use the hashtag #fitsnap on IG, the company will usually “like” your picture and give you an encouraging comment.  I was also featured on their feed one day, which was really cool and fun!  You can choose different activities like running or biking, and they have a couple of different text layout options and several filters to play with too!

Photo Apr 08, 5 27 06 PMI’m currently using the free version and haven’t bought any of the extra layouts or filters, but seeing as they have a “half-marathon” layout, I may have to purchase it just to see what it’s all about.  And $0.99 isn’t a bad price per feature, especially if you only buy the ones you need.

Do you share your workouts on social media?  How do you do it?

***As always, the opinions expressed in this post are my own.  I was not asked to review this app or compensated in any way for writing about it.***

I had been wondering what that app was!! Those started popping up on a lot of Instagrams I follow and I was intrigued! Thank you so much for posting about it so I can now go find it. 🙂

I do share workouts on Facebook, Insta, and Twitter. Usually in the form of PicStitch collages.
