VRH Jiggety Jog 5k and Fun Run

Those of you who’ve been reading this blog for a while probably remember me writing about this race last year. The Jiggety Jog is an annual fundraiser for the Vermont Respite House, which is a cause that is incredibly important to myself and my family. You can read my original post about why this race is so important to me here. You can also read the race recap here.

I will be running the race and raising money again this year, and I would appreciate any and all donations that you feel so moved to make. Click here to go to the secure website and make an online donation. I’ll continue to post regularly about how fundraising is going, training etc. I’m hoping for a course PR, and to raise even more money than last year. What’s fun is this year, the race is actually on my birthday!

Have you ever raced and raised money for a charity?

I remember this race from last year! It’s so great to have a race that supports an organization that means a lot to you 🙂 When I ran a 10K in Connecticut last summer that benefited a charity I support, I wanted to do fundraising for them but they told me they didn’t really do that. Maybe someday.

Oooo a birthday race! How fun! That’s so great that you are running for a cause so important to you. I ran the Baltimore Half last year for charity and it’s so rewarding!

It’s been a long time since I’ve races and raised money for a charity. Not because I don’t want to but it just hasn’t fallen into place for me. Having said that, I have donated to friends who are running races for charities.

What a great cause. I have yet to run for charity but it’s something I aspire to do one day when I can find that extra time to really spend on raising money. Hope you have a great birthday race! I love running on my birthday. My first marathon just happened to fall on the day after my birthday so it was a great way to celebrate!

That’s awesome! This is the first time I’ll be running a race on my actual birthday, but last year the race was the day after my birthday, so it was still sort of a “birthday race.”
