Monday 10/05/15: Body Pump | Body Pump
Second week in a row, woot woot! I was sore for DAYS after last week’s class, and only slightly less so after this class. Just means I need to be there, right? I always considered myself to be a strong person before Body Pump, and now I know that’s a lie…
Tuesday 10/06/15: 3 Miles | Rest
Work continued to kick my butt this week, and when lunchtime rolled around, running was the last thing I wanted to do. And then after work, we went to Trivia and half-price burger night down the street, so running after work didn’t happen either. But I think I needed the break–I ran Saturday, did my long run Sunday, and Body Pump Monday. I usually don’t do so many days in a row without a rest day.
Wednesday 10/07/15: Tap Class | Tap Class
Seriously, this is just too much fun. I’m starting to “get it” a little bit more, but I really should be practicing outside of class. One hour a week isn’t really enough to get good.
Thursday 10/08/15: Run Club Speed Workout | Sh’Bam
Unbeknownst to me when I was crafting my schedule for the week, Ben had parent/teacher conferences this evening, leaving me without a car. I was going to just do a solo run, but my lovely friend and co-worker offered to give me a ride to Sh’Bam, and my friend/Sh’Bam instructor Brad gave me a ride home. Yay!
Friday 10/09/15: Rest | Rest
It was raining, and even though I probably could have squeaked in a run, I just didn’t feel like it. I watched Netflix until Ben got home from his broomball game, and then we headed down to my parents’ place.
Saturday 10/10/15: Run Club 4 Miles | Rest
I did a really crappy job of scheduling myself this week. In addition to Thursday’s SNAFU, I forgot that Ben and I were visiting my parents this weekend, which meant no run club. I had a nice, relaxing day with my family instead.
Sunday 10/11/15: 11 Miles | Rest
Aaaaand yeah, that didn’t happen. Part running ennui, part drinking a bit too much on Saturday night, part general laziness. Oh well. We stayed at my parents’ place until almost 7:30 pm and then hit the hay early.
That week definitely didn’t go according to plan. I’m going to try to get it together this week, but who knows. I’m still not feeling super excited about running. Here’s the tentative plan:
- Monday: Rest
- Tuesday: 3 miles
- Wednesday: Tap
- Thursday: Run club speed workout
- Friday: Rest
- Saturday: Run club 3-4 miles
- Sunday: 11 miles
