What Was Planned vs. What Happened
Monday 10/26/15: Body Pump or short run | 3.86 Miles @ 9:50 pace
My gym buddy just had a procedure done on her shoulder and isn’t allowed to Pump for a week, so I decided to go for a run after work. It was a beautiful, chilly evening, and I felt AWESOME for this entire run. And I continued to feel AWESOME all evening afterwards.
Tuesday 10/27/15: Short run | 3.86 Miles @ 9:42 pace
I ran the exact same route I ran on Monday, and I ran it almost 30 seconds faster, so I’ll call that a win! I also stretched out really well when I got home, and did some squats and resistance band exercises for my glutes/hips. I’m trying to be better about recovery stuff now that I have a marathon on the menu for 2016.
Wednesday 10/28/15: Tap class | Tap Class
Not much to say except I’m still loving tap class, and I’m hoping to continue classes in the summer. After class, I did some squats and resistance band exercises for my glutes and hips as well. I’m trying to do them every day.
Thursday 10/29/15: Rest | Rest
Our United Way campaign wrap up event went until 6, and then I had to help clean up, so I missed both Sh’Bam and my run club speed workout, which was a bummer.
Friday 10/30/15: Short Run | Rest
What can I say except it was the Friday before Halloween, and I hadn’t yet watched Hocus Pocus. I bought a bottle of wine and watched The Worst Witch, Hocus Pocus, and Halloweentown. It was wonderful.
Saturday 10/31/15: Run club 4 miles | Run club 4 miles
The weather was perfect, and it was a great group. My Garmin didn’t find a sattelite before we started so my pacing was off, but I felt really good the whole run, and finished 4 miles in a little over 40 minutes.
Sunday 11/01/15: Rest | Rest
We had two Halloween parties on Saturday night, so Sunday was a quiet day at home. We watched 4 Disney movies and some Sherlock before an early bedtime.
I only have four days of work this week, and on Thursday night I’m off to DISNEY WORLD for the Wine and Dine Half Marathon. I have a TON of stuff, both personal and professional, to accomplish before then, so this will likely be a light week of workouts.
- Monday: Maybe Body Pump, maybe a run, maybe nothing
- Tuesday: Short Run
- Wednesday: Tap Class
- Thursday: Rest
- Friday: Rest/explore Disney
- Saturday: Wine and Dine!
- Sunday: Rest
Who else will be in Disney this weekend???
Nice job this week! I’m seeing lots of run miles in there, awesome!! Two Halloween parties! Did you dress up?
I dressed up as a wild west can-can girl! It was so fun 🙂
I owe you an email. I was a bit more overwhelmed since coming back than I realized!
Hey, no sweat! I know how it is to come back after vacation and be completely buried.
I wish. Good luck.
Thank you!
Sounds like a great week! Have fun at Disneyworld!!
Thank you! I can’t wait 🙂
Look at you nailing those runs!!!
Yeah, it was a pretty decent week for me. I’m happy about it 😀
Nice job running the same route faster the very next day! That’s awesome. Also, props for doing stretching and band work… I definitely need to get better at that.
Also, totally random but I was at the cafe near my office last week and Manic Monday came on the radio. That song makes me think of your blog now! 🙂
Haha, excellent! I’ve been keeping up with my daily exercises the last couple of days too, woohoo!
Yay for Wine and Dine! Good luck and have fun!! Nice running last week, especially running the same route faster the next day. I kind of love that you watched Disney movies on Sunday. 🙂
It was actually my husband’s idea too! I knew I married him for a good reason 😉
SO excited for Wine & Dine this weekend! Hope to get to see you there!
Me too!
