So yeah, I made a bucket list. And then kinda forgot about it. And then Lisa reminded me. Thanks, Lisa!
The good news is, I actually accomplished some of the things on this list. The bad news is that, as usual, I did not complete the list. Oh well. C’est la vie. So how did I do? Well, let’s look back at what was actually on that list:
- Apple picking–CHECK
- Make apple butter–CHECK
- Watch Hocus Pocus in my PJs–CHECK
- Have a Starbucks PSL–CHECK
- Come up with a good Halloween costume–SURPRISING CHECK
I guess 5 out of 8 is actually a pretty good percentage. But I really need to just get over myself and make a pie, already. I’m weirdly afraid of making pie crust. Like it’s some impossible, difficult thing. Eh, I’ll get there eventually.
Have you made a pie crust? Am I being silly?
I can give you many pie crust tips! π
I just need to suck it up and stop being such a weenie…
You’ve still got a couple of weeks left of “fall”!
Psht, please. It’s December 1 which means IT’S CHRISTMASTIME!!! π
Nice job! That’s a decent amount of checks! π I’ve never made a pie crust from scratch… from what I hear it’s a huge pain to do. But it would be an accomplishment to do it, that’s for sure!
I really want to do it. I will get around to it eventually…
Good job!
And pie crusts aren’t too bad – for our thanksgiving pies we had 4 types of crusts (for 3 pies and a cake … apple has different top & bottom crust). Our food processor and mixer got a workout π
I do love my Kitchenaid mixer π
That’s most of the list- nice! A pie from scratch sounds like a lot of work, I don’t blame you for not taking one on. But then again I am not a fan of pie so maybe that changes things. π
See, I love pie, so I need to overcome this fear so I can have more pie.
Nice job! And if it’s anything like making cheesecake crust it is pretty easy π I hope you get the chance to make pie for the holidays!
Me too!
