Friday Free-For-All – 03/25/16

FFFA (1)

This week ended up having a theme: Wish me luck! It’s gonna be a doozy.

Commence hell week! Those of you who have ever participated in theatre know that the week before a show opens, known as “tech week” is also known as “hell week.” Starting tonight, I have rehearsal every single day from now until next Thursday. Most rehearsals will be around 4-5 hours, but Sunday’s rehearsal will be more like 8-9. Wish me luck!

Due to hell week, I will be a morning runner next week. I am not naturally a morning person. I can force myself to get up for most things, but exercise isn’t really one of those things. In the summer I run early once or twice a week just so I can have my evenings free, but this time of year, when it’s still dark at 6 am, running is the LAST thing I want to do. But because I have rehearsal starting at 5:30 every evening, morning running is my only option. Wish me luck!

I’ll be setting out for yet another Personal Distance Record tomorrow–16 miles! I’m trying to think of it in terms of two back-to-back 8 mile runs. I know I can run 8 miles no problem, so I should be able to do it twice, right? Right. Anyway, this will be my last big, double-digit run for the next couple of weeks as I survive Mary Poppins. This means I’ll probably be hitting some really big mileage during my vacation in April, but I think it’s a good trade-off. Wish me luck!

What do you have going on this weekend? I wish you good luck, too!

Godspeed with hell week! (Is it bad luck to say good luck for that, or only for performances?) And take that 16-miler down! 😀 I may attempt my first post-Shamrocks5K run this weekend to test out my dodgy ribs. Your good luck wish will be much appreciated! 😉

Ugh. MORNINGS. I feel 100% the same way, but I drag myself out of bed early sometimes just so I can do whatever I want after work. But I only run outside in the summer, that’s for sure – I DO NOT DO COLD.

Anyway. Go kill that 16 miler!

Good luck with everything Rae! This is exciting but crazy and stressful and exhausting all at once!

We don’t have major plans, hopefully get in some relaxing …

Good luck with your hell week! Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t do it all.
Also, good luck with your 16 miler this weekend, you’ll rock it. This weekend we have a lot of family things going on (my father’s turning 70, easter stuff) and I’m hoping to get some running in before half marathon starts next week!
