I ran again! I did another short treadmill run on Tuesday night, and I’m really, really surprised by how well it went. I honestly think CrossFit has helped me to maintain my cardiovascular fitness in spite of not having run for four months. Woohoo!
Chair massage is a life saver. We have a masseuse come to our office once a month for chair massages. It’s $15 for 15 minutes, and it’s worth every penny. I’ve had a knot in my mid-right back for over a week that just wouldn’t go away no matter how I stretched or rolled it. After 15 minutes in Deb’s chair and some hot stone and tuning fork work, I’m a new woman. Just what I needed before Hell Week kicks off tomorrow.
The artistic team gave us tonight off. This has become sort of an unofficial tradition with the last few Lyric shows, but it’s never guaranteed. Everyone has worked hard, and we’re about to go into a crazy busy and stressful week, so they decided we deserved an extra night off. 9 to 5 is in AMAZING shape, and I’m so, so grateful to have a free night. I will still go to CrossFit, but after that I will head home, get into my PJs, and spend the rest of the night relaxing with tea, Netflix, and chocolate. And maybe a beer 🙂
