And just like that, June is over. Half the YEAR is over! How?!
Coming back from a few days on the west coast has me feeling like I got hit by a truck. I am SO READY for the weekend. I’m hopefully going to sleep in tomorrow, do some stuff around the house, and then just relax.
Tomorrow starts Ben’s crazy summer of travel. Seriously, he’s away more than he’s home for the next month and a half. He leaves tomorrow to head to PA to help Uncle Harry with his family’s historic farmhouse, and then he goes straight to Maine for Poison Ivy Patrol and the family reunion. I think I won’t see him until the 10th. And then he’s home for barely a week and he’s off again. Crazy pants!
I’ll be riding on a float in the Stowe 4th of July parade. Each year a bunch of folks involved with Stowe Theater Guild shows ride a float to promote the season. It looks like I may be the sole representative from the Dogfight cast, but whatever. It should be fun. And with Ben gone, I don’t really have any other plans for my day off anyway.
Who else is looking forward to the July 4th holiday? Fireworks are my FAVORITE.
I always feel like there is a punishment for having a fun and relaxing long weekend or vacation 🙂
Just found out Lisa isn’t working on 4th of July, so we now get to figure out what to do! No idea yet – maybe a hike and picnic and then fireworks?
Enjoy your weekend – and safe travels for Ben!
Coming back to work certainly feels like punishment! I hope you and Lisa enjoy the unexpected day together 🙂
I will be working the 4th, which you kind of are, as well, but I will be inside and there will be no risk of sunburn. And I won’t be waving. I will be slapping myself trying to stay awake and or just to give myself something to do when I am stuck inside a dead restaurant… WHOMP
Aw, boo. I’m sorry to hear that, Suz. It’s never fun to feel like you’re the odd one out with no day off. Hopefully you get enough business that it’s at least worthwhile!
being on float sounds cool! Have fun!
Thanks, I’m looking forward to it 🙂
