Friday Free-For-All – 07/07/17

My sunburn is finally fading a bit. I felt SO FOOLISH walking around with big, white raccoon eyes and a red nose all week. I’ve been trying to keep everything well moisturized, but it’s only a matter of time before I start to peel. While I weirdly love peeling off dead skin, it looks gross. I have started researching all natural daily moisturizers that contain SPF so I can avoid this situation in the future…

My in-laws are taking an overnight trip to celebrate their anniversary, meaning I will be home all alone with the animals tonight. I don’t think I’ve ever actually spent a night by myself at the house, so it will be weird. Thankfully I have lots of kitties and doggos to keep me company.

Someone found this blog with the search term “beer in bed,”Ā and it tickled the hell out of me. I rarely get to see the specific search terms that lead people to my little corner of the internet, but this one made me so happy!

What’s the weirdest search term that’s ever brought someone to your blog?

It is funny – I haven’t burned yet, but I am way too tanned even with sunscreen on my weekend runs. I think I even sweat off the waterproof stuff. Also – evidently my running shirts are about 1″ longer than my polo shirts, something I noticed going to a 4th of July BBQ as I had about 1″ of very white skin above my tan-line on my arms! šŸ™‚

As for blog searches … ‘beer in bed’ is hilarious! For me, my biggest article (still gets dozens of hits per day all winter long 4 years later) was on ‘runderwear for men, so I had searches all pretty related to cold, snow, ice, wind … and men’s privates! šŸ˜€

Who doesn’t like peeling skin? I mean it’s gross but oddly satisfying in a way. I don’t get a lot of search terms but the oddest was “girls wet hike”. Ummm, whatever they’re looking for, they’re not going to find it on my blog!
