Remember that commercial I shot a couple of weeks ago? It’s live! It’s been airing during the Olympics and I’ve had a bunch of friends texting me about it. It’s a SUPER quick segment (literally only 15 seconds long), but I had a lot of fun filming. If you’re interested, you can check it out by clicking here.
Ben and I did something unusual for Valentine’s Day. We bought each other a couch! We’ve never really been super into the forced celebration of Valentine’s Day, but we decided it would be fun to buy a real couch for our new house instead of spending money on junk we don’t need. We’ve been using an old, lumpy futon that we got free from his parents, and it was time to upgrade. We ended up investing in a really nice Flexsteel sectional. They were having a 20% off sale and the frame comes with a lifetime warranty, so we feel really good about it. And there’s a CHAISE on one end! Helloooo, relaxation! Unfortunately, it may take up to 10 weeks to actually be delivered. Boo.
I went to prenatal yoga this week! Real talk: I haven’t been to CrossFit since December, and I haven’t run/walked/otherwise worked out since early January. Pregnancy is rough guys! But I’m starting to feel a bit gross, so I’m making a commitment to get my body moving more, and prenatal yoga is just the ticket! I’ve been experiencing a lot of round ligament pain, and things have been just a wee bit stressful lately, so it felt incredible to just relax and stretch out my body.
We celebrated my four year anniversary at work this week. Holy crap! I simply can’t believe it’s been that long! The customary anniversary gift is a nice bottle of wine, but since I’m preggo, I got a really fancy bottle of olive oil instead. This was super handy, as we didn’t have any cooking oil at the new house yet. Even though I’m really happy with my decision to stay home and raise our daughter after she’s born, I’m going to miss the heck out of my colleagues.
How long have you been at your job? Do they do anniversary celebrations?
